Description:
Every day, more people become interested in knowing more about their family history. In this two-hour online class, students will explore 20 of the most commonly used genealogy web sites where librarians find answers to questions like, "I think my great, great uncle was a civil war soldier --where can I find out more?" and "I think my great, great grandmother Alice died in a fire in Chicago --where can I find her obituary?" Students will then have the opportunity to explore genealogy reference resources further in an after-class exercise.
